I Have a Baby, Is There a Nursery?

It is our pleasure to take care of your baby. Our greeters, and volunteer team members, are able to take you where you need to go. Infant-K5 care is provided Sundays beginning at 8:45am and ending at 11am. This allows parents time for study and worship while your children have a program that is designed specifically for them. Wednesday evenings, Infant-K5 children may be taken to the Nursery area as early as 6:50pm.

What is the Process For Dropping Off My Child?

You are able to drop your children off in our secure facility while you attend Bible study and Worship Service.

When dropping off children, parents will need to check them in. First time visitors will be asked to provide volunteers with pertinent information about their children. For infants, this includes their sleep needs, eating schedule, and ways they find comfort.

Note: Please have your child’s name on an identifying tag placed on items you bring with you.
Nursery, as well as preschool and school age children will be checked in using the Planning Center Check-In System. The code given to the parents at check-in match the child’s label code. During check-out, parents show the code to the teacher, to facilitate check-out speed.

All children will be checked in using the Planning Center Check-in System. Children will be checked out using the matching code issued to the parent and child. Be sure to pick up your children in the area they were dropped off, in the Kidstown building.

The Gospel Project For Preschoolers – Preschool Bible Study – is a curriculum that children can relate to, and is used for all ages during small groups. Your child may be dropped off as early as 8:45am…classes begin at 9:00am.

For worship attenders only, children may be dropped off as early as 9:45am…worship begins at 10:00am.

Preschool

Babies and preschoolers are special. They are a gift from God and we strive to nurture them in a Godly manner. Our staff, teachers and their assistants highly regard and believe the standards the scripture describe in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it.” We do all possible to provide a Christ-like example during teaching, singing, craft time, play time and snack time.

A safety and security procedure is in place. Reluctant parents can worship without hesitancy knowing that their little ones are in a safe and secure environment. If a problem arises and a parent needs to be contacted, that parent will be texted or called on the phone number given at check-in.

Our teachers and assistants go through a training meeting that covers classroom procedures, as well as encouraging them to be constructive and imaginative in various forms of teaching. Positive teaching is a priority. We realize that not all children relate the same to the literature, stories and hands on coloring activities dealing with the lessons. Our small classes help provide one on one time that may be needed. The literature used is age appropriate and provides teachers step by step instructions for each lesson. Preschoolers will be enriched by each Bible Study and Worship hour classroom experience.

The classrooms are inviting to the children. From brightly painted walls to tables and desks just their size, everything is done to create an environment to promote keeping happy preschoolers, while they learn and play. Well maintained age appropriate toys and games are located in each classroom.

Preschoolers love to have fun. Parties are scheduled during the year that are no cost to parents. Children can have fun and celebrate with their friends. Our aim is to promote enthusiasm so children will look forward to coming to church each week.

We appreciate the parents that bring their children and we do all possible to make their preschoolers learning experience here at Dinsmore Baptist Church a pleasant and inviting one.
